I'm Maggie — Creative Director and Photographer who believes that happily ever afters happen once upon a time!

I'm just the girl with a city heart, growing up in the small coastal town of Cape May, New Jersey.
I always knew I had a creative purpose for my life...
but I didn't know how to find it.

After high school I changed my major three times, completely clueless about what I wanted to be, all while working for Starbucks. Realizing that my happy place was in retail, while constantly sketching clothing , I transferred to the Art Institute of Philadelphia, earning my second Associate's Degree in Visual Merchandising and my Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Management and Marketing.
 I absorbed every class, every fabric, every piece of art. While in school, I continued working for Starbucks, while interning for fashion brands Nicole Miller, Urban Outfitters, and Philadelphia Style Magazine. It was the behind-the-scenes experience at Philadelphia Style that lead me to choose photography and graphic design as minor courses and new hobbies. 

Fast forward years later, as a new Mom, I was limited on the props and the amount of clothing I could lug to a chain studio for my son's portraits. Feeling frustrated, I bought a starter camera (hello, Canon Rebel!), backdrops, floordrops, and took a seat on my floors at home, and practiced. And practiced. Eventually, friends took notice and asked me to photograph their kids, and within a year, boom! LLC was registered, business name chosen (because my Grandpa would tell me I was all dolled up when wearing my mom's high heels, tap dancing on the tiled floors of our Florida home), and now almost twelve years later, it has changed my life and given me my purpose.

When it comes to my style, I am first and foremost a lover of color. True vibrancy, jewel tones, and keeping those sunset colors true to life. I hate seeing washed out leaves and harsh shadows taking over couples in their photos. It's not my (strawberry) jam. With a fashion and clothing background (District Management for teen/adult apparel companies), I love styling, posing, and creating one of a kind portraits for my couples, of course, inspired by layouts I see and crave in my HUGE stack of monthly magazines that pile up on my bed.
